JAWESO Planar Cameras in Use for Railway Mapping in Norway

Our client, Scan Survey AS, is using four JAWESO Planar cameras in conjunction with a Pegasus TRK700 Evo from Leica Geosystems for railway surveying in Norway.

The JAWESO Planar cameras capture high-resolution images of the tracks and the surrounding railway infrastructure. This creates a detailed visual dataset that can then be used for further processing and analysis. The design of the measurement system is also particularly interesting. Scan Survey AS has mounted the pickup directly on a railroad car, using the vehicle to collect data along the track.

The project thus combines an unusual setup with targeted data collection of the railway infrastructure under real-world operating conditions.
